CIMmultus™ r-Protein A-80 mL is an improved monolithic column with 1.3 um pore size and a column volume of 80 mL. It is packed into an innovative epoxy-based housing and is supplied ready to use. CIMmultus™ r-Protein A-80 mL is intended for purifications at preparative and pilot scale. The r-Protein A (recombinant protein A produced in E. coli) is an affinity ligand, used for fast, highly efficient purification of the immunoglobulin G. The Fc portion of antibodies (IgG class) is bound to the r-Protein A without affecting the antigen binding. In an alternative application, the r-Protein A can be used as a platform for binding specific antibodies with their consequent crosslinking. Using this approach, you can prepare your monolithic affinity column for capturing antigens for specific antibodies.
