CIMmultus™ stands for:

CIMmultus™ CDI-80 mL is an improved monolithic column with 2 um pore size and a column volume of 80 mL. It is packed into an innovative epoxy-based housing and is supplied ready to use. CIMmultus™ CDI-1 mL is intended for initial screening, method development, and lab scale purifications. CDI (carboxydiimidazole) is used for preactivation of the monolithic media. CDI media is used for immobilization of proteins or other compounds containing amino groups under mild reaction conditions. The one atom spacer arm between the immobilized protein and matrix is a part of carbamate functional group, which represents a hydrolytically stable and not charged covalent linkage.
