CIM r-Protein G — 0.34 mL is a shallow, disk-shaped monolith with a column volume of 0.34 mL. It is predominantly suitable for initial screening and method development. The CIM® r-Protein G-0.34 mL disk needs to be inserted into a housing and is immediately ready for use.

The r-Protein G (recombinant protein G produced in E. coli) is an affinity ligand, used for fast, highly efficient purification of the immunoglobulin G. The Fc portion of antibodies (IgG class) is bound to the r-Protein G without affecting the antigen binding. In an alternative application, the r-Protein G can be used as a platform for binding specific antibodies with their consequent crosslinking. Using this approach, you can prepare your monolithic affinity column for capturing antigens for specific antibodies. The range of polyclonal IgGs that strongly bind to the r-Protein G is wider than with n-Protein A or r-Protein A.
