CIM® r-Protein G-1 Tube Monolithic Column (Recombinant Protein G) (Pores 1.3 um)

CIM r-Protein G – 1 mL tube is a cylindrical-shaped monolithic column with a column volume of 1 mL. It is encased in a specially designed housing and is supplied ready to use. CIM r-Protein G – 1 mL is intended for initial screening, method development, and purifications at laboratory scale. It enables you to develop robust methods that are easily scalable.

The r-Protein G (recombinant protein G produced in E. coli) is an affinity ligand, used for fast, highly efficient purification of the immunoglobulin G. The Fc portion of antibodies (IgG class) is bound to the r-Protein G without affecting the antigen binding. In an alternative application, the r-Protein G can be used as a platform for binding specific antibodies with their consequent crosslinking. Using this approach, you can prepare your monolithic affinity column for capturing antigens for specific antibodies. The range of polyclonal IgGs that strongly bind to the r-Protein G is wider than with n-Protein A or r-Protein A.
