CIM® n-Protein A-0.34 mL is a shallow, disk-shaped monolith with a column volume of 0.34 mL. It is predominantly suitable for initial screening and method development. The CIM® n-Protein A-0.34 mL disk needs to be inserted into a housing and is immediately ready for use. The n-Protein A (native protein A from Staphylococcus aureus) is an affinity ligand, used for fast, highly efficient purification of the immunoglobulin G. The Fc portion of antibodies (IgG class) is bound to the n-Protein A without affecting the antigen binding. In an alternative application, the n-Protein A can be used as a platform for binding specific antibodies with their consequent crosslinking. Using this approach, you can prepare your monolithic affinity column for capturing antigens for specific antibodies.
